The man who became a brahmarishi.
The curse that banished him to the hell of hells.
And the revenge that threatens to destroy the three worlds.

When Lord Brahma, the God of Creation, banishes his star pupil from Swaeglok in a fit of rage, he does not foresee that his decision will alter the fate of the three worlds. Mortally wounded, and anguished at Brahma’s unfair punishment, his pupil struggles to survive in Tamastamah Prabha, the hell of hells. In time, he becomes the Dark Lord, the most feared figure in Pataal Lok, who swears to destiny Brahma.

The power of the Dark Lord soon begins makes its presence felt in the mortal world. Vasudev, the brave prince of Bateshwar, becomes the hunter of Asura assassins; his closest friend, Kansaa, almost dies while trying to save his sister from a group of deadly monsters; and the most valiant kings in Mrityulok turn over to the dark side, driven by forces beyond their control.

Only one person threatens the Dark Lord’s well-laid plans – Devki, the beautiful princess of madhuvan, who is destined to give birth to the warrior Krishna.

Will the Dark Lord allow Krishna – the person who has been prophesised to destriy him – to be born?

  1. Completed the first 2 steps. As regards the third this is what I feel-

The blurb is interesting. If I’m not wrong we’ll be seeing mythology reinterpreted in a new way.

  2. This, I think, will be a different interpretation of the Mahabharata.Being a pioneer of the epic myself and currently authoring a huge retelling of the same via a political point of view, I am interested in what this one has to say. Even though there are many retellings and adaptations of the epic, I give everything a chance because I want to see what people think about the great era. Everyone has their own interpretations and while writing them, their own thoughts get melded into their writings. In addition, I think the cover is really good and will succeed drawing the reader in. I have no idea of the writing, but I hope it is as good.

  3. This one looks like a different take on Lord Krishna’s story and sounds interesting…Very rarely has one read about Brahma and reading about him and his star pupil and their journey to the curse has me intrigued. Definitely a book, I would love to read. 🙂

  4. Mythological stories have a special relevance in everybody’s life. The blurb is catchy and interesting and since Lord Krishna’s story has always grabbed my attention, this one is perhaps another entertainer!
