Resonance by Ajay Pandey

“A gripping love story wandering across the globe caught in a rationale of science and engineering. To be drawn and drown in catastrophe, unknown.”

To pak to … A dying man’s last words… A clue, an accusation or a meaningless muddle?

Siddharth Rana, the Joint Director of the IB, is at his wits end attempting to unravel that mystery. Working with the blindest of clues, Siddharth has to race against time to prevent terrorists from achieving their horrific goal-an India laid low by a catastrophe of biblical proportions. This is a story that leaps across continents, gets to the heart of convoluted terrorist plots and attacks, and amazes you with its exposition of high-tech gadgetry and science. It is equally a story of breathtaking bravery, recounted at a mind-blowing pace. At its core, it is also a story about the beauty of relationships. Relationships that are beyond national boundaries and historic enmities…

48-year old Pandey made his debut as writer with this book. Sharing his thoughts on what encouraged him for writing, Pandey said, “For past 25 years, I’ve been planning to write. Actually the thought originally generated while pursuing my B. Tech in BIT Mesra. Those days, my sister would ask me to narrate a story whenever I was at home. One day, I had nothing except for narrating a self-scripted story. That day, my sister told I have the potential of being a good story teller.”

Within just a few days of its release, the novel is already sold out on Amazon and Unread. A great beginning for Pandey, who currently works as an IRS officer at the Additional Commissioner of Income Tax department in Mumbai.

What truly helps make Resonance’s story beautifully compelling lies within the details, that of which Pandey spent eight months digging through research to help prepare.

  1. Well, the title “Resonance” surely reminds of chemistry (Resonating structures) 😀
As mentioned, a love story with thriller. I would love to read it. My best wishes to Ajay Sir 🙂

    1. I’m sure, Simran you will like it. You will walk in Russia, Dubai, USA, Pakistan, Swat Valley, Egypt and several other places in this novel where a subtle love story of an Indian girl, the daughter of Indian Ambassador to USA and a boy, the son of retired chief of ISI blossom in between.

  2. The book title reminds me of chemistry (Resonating structures) . A love story with thriller is something I would love to read.
    Best wishes to Ajay Sir.

    1. I, Ajay, thank you Simran for all your nice words. It’s a different thriller; something Indian authors have never attempted. It’s being compared with Robert Ludlum or Tom Clancy. I hope you will enjoy the read.
      Best regards,

  3. All the steps done 🙂
Well, ‘Resonance’ – a book by someone who has served the Intelligence Bureau and is an Indian Revenue Service Officer will be a thriller. No second thoughts on that.
I can predict it to be a book similar to a Hollywood movie – fast paced, intense and rich! True to the meaning of its title!

    1. I’m sure, Aayesha that you will like this work. Something different than this hullabaloo of my religion vs. their, where even the love between two different nationals overrides every other things. A very well paced thriller, in which your heart may stop, but hands will turn on every pages.

  4. Liked both FB pages. Shared the details of blogtour on my timeline. The link is

A unique name, a mysterious cover and the terrorist angle combined with romance makes the book intriguing. Well, I’m sure this is an action packed thriller that’s sure to enthrall the reader. I’m sure that the book resonates the thoughts and feelings of the author beautifully.

The very fact that the author/ publishers went in for second addition of the book in just 30 days of its release speaks volumes for the book. Kudos to Ajay Pandey.

Looking forward to reading this bestseller.

    1. Thank you so much, Geeta for your wonderful comments. They mean a lot. I’m sure that you will like it. It’s a different style of storytelling by an Indian author; hitherto never attempted. Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum have been writing, but not “we”. Let me know how you like it after reading it.
