Equilibrium is the first book in the Avaasya series. The book is based on a plot where the overall balance or equilibrium of the world is maintained by two opposing forces. The forces of Tamisra are rising against the Laghut to destroy the equilibrium. Arya, a petty thief, finds himself in a critical position where he has to protect the ring, called avaasya, which links the equilibrium and the fate of the world. Arya is accompanied in this adventure by the five gurujanas who have to responsibility to maintain the equilibrium at all costs. And so begins an epic tale, race against time, to restore balance to the world.
- The first-look of the book is alluring.
- Interesting plot with a neatly trimmed storyline.
- Good pace.
- Quick and interesting.
- Overall concept, i.e., the world is in turmoil and only one individual can save it, looks repetitive.
“Amazing read with an intriguing plot. A fast paced thriller with a futuristic reflection. Maintains a reader-author Equilibrium. Bang on start to a trilogy!”
A good look at the book and the beholder is impressed. A surreal cover with a suitable title and an intriguing blurb makes this book a definite pick-up read.
The book is set in a different dimension, a new era, a new world. Modernization and industrialization is at its peak. The world of Sealand is divided into different countries and states. All the setting makes it much more interesting.
The male protagonist, Arya, is shown as a small time robber who has the ability to open any lock and locking mechanism. Post a big-time robbery and critical escape, Arya finds himself in a new situation where he learns about the equilibrium and the legend of avaasya. From there the adventurous journey of Arya against the forces of Tamisra, under the guidance of the five gurujanas begins.
Paras has done an amazing job with his debut book. He never seems like a first-timer. His story telling skill is impressive and entertaining. With this book the author lays the base for the Avaasya series. The book is fast paced and takes you through various critical points in a jolt. The most amazing thing about this book is its racy plot and apt description. Everything is up to the mark, nothing more nothing less. Being a trilogy, some parts of the story remains veiled to maintain the suspense and energy. Be prepared for a Mega-Finale 😉
Reading this book was a good experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Finished it in one go. Never felt bored. Didn’t have the time to. The book keeps you totally engrossed. A fresh read in your favorite genre is all you need to enjoy your day.
Congratulations Paras on such a wonderful debut at such a young age. Loved your concept and story-telling skill. Looking forward to the next installment of Avaasya series. Equilibrium will leave a lasting impression.
