Enjoy this lil’ interview session with Clark.

  • ‘Baramulla Bomber’ tell us something about it first. How’s the response from the readers?
The book is a child of mine. And it will grow and evolve over the years. The response has been pleasant, where some reviews and thoughts from readers made me emotional. While for few I felt I could not satisfy them. The fact is the book is not everyone. It is a Techno Mythology Thriller, meant for a intellectual mind. The book will take time to sink in the minds.
  • Story-line of your novel seems to be pretty unusual. Was there any kind of doubt that ‘would it work’ or something when you decided to write the novel?
When I wrote it, the only thing what on my mind was to write something not experienced in the Indian market before. But when the manuscript started getting rejection, and I had to hear that it will not work, some doubt was there. But I thought “just push on”.
  • Writing’, what is the importance of this word in your life?
Immortality and magic. Giving your views which will be read for a hundred, thousand years, till civilization exist. As Carl Sagan put it, ” A book is made from a tree. It is an assemblage of flat, flexible parts (still called “leaves”) imprinted with dark pigmented squiggles. One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennium, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time ― proof that humans can work magic”
  • Do you remember your first creation? What was it about?
My first creation was drawing of space-ships and universe. And even Lego rockets and space ships. The truth is out there and I want to believe we are not alone. And I wish I am alive when the first contact happens! (or has it happened?)
  • How and when did you enter the writer’s world?
By chance, By destiny… not sure. I was in search of an identity and thought that why cannot I use my ideas and creativity to create a one of a kind thriller. A thriller which looks how to solve the Kashmir crisis. This would have not been possible if I had not watched Shawshank Redemption in 2009, and post watching it, I felt that I need to be free from my jail. That is how Baramulla Bomber started. The first words… Yaa Allah!
  • What was your source of inspiration? What inspires you now?
Trying to fulfill a promise was my source of inspiration. Fulfilling my parents dream and making a mark in Planet Earth is inspiring me now.
  • Do you like reading? Who’s your favorite author? Favorite Book?
    Thrillers, Suspense, Espionage books.
Author: Robin Cook, Dan Brown, Mathew Reilly, James Rollins
    Fav Book: Jonathan Livingston Seagull
  • What are your plans for future?(In writing field and in general life)
Writing: Complete the trilogy, and write more on few other ideas
General : Get married and change the relationship status of FB 🙂
  • What is the hardest thing about writing?
It is a lonely job. A very lonely life while writing. And once you have written something, making someone believe in you to pay a price and read your words.
  • What is your advice for budding writers?
Keep pushing. Do not let environment around you stop your dream coming true. First you need to dream, this dream will turn into a vision and then a vision to reality… so says Mansur Haider in Baramulla Bomber.
  • Your words for ‘The Author’s Blog’.
Keep up the good work. Blogs like yours help the author and readers connect. This is not an easy job. But it is done with passion, and with passion comes sincerity. Best of luck!

So this was it with Mr. Clark. Best wishes from team TAB for his current and the upcoming books. We hope you guys enjoyed this lil’ Chit-Chat session with Mr. Clark. Stay tuned, we’ll be back with some more authors and blogger.
Keep Writing… Keep reading.

With Regards,
